Secondary school / gymnasium geography curriculum update: from passive to active geography

چکیده

The article presents the methodological approaches that are basis for updating geography curriculum of Lithuanian secondary schools/upper (grades 11-12) and gymnasiums III-IV). aim is to answer question: how substantiate systematically link trends science development didactics, based on international educational documents defining today’s geographical education? (charters, declarations) analyzed, which define modern renewal education. historical perspective its didactics (school geography) compared. scatter areas achievements competences in individual levels comprehensive school shown. Keywords: geography, concepts knowledge, spaces, competencies achievements.
